Lech Robaczynski (1928–2015) was a Polish architect who’s professional career spanned Poland, Iraq, Austria and the United States. After graduating in 1954 from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology, he co-designed several residential complexes in Warsaw. From 1963 to 1969, he worked as an architect for the Iraqi Ministry of Housing and Works in Baghdad. During this period, from 1964 to 1969, Robaczyński was also associated with the architectural office of Qahtan Awni, where he collaborated on several major projects, including Mustansiriya University, the Iraqi Embassy in New Delhi, the Iraqi Airways office in London, the Trade Administration Building in Baghdad and the Baghdad University Planetarium. In 1969, he moved to Austria, where he worked as a senior designer and was responsible for the development and supervision of numerous projects at the Hans Podivin Architectural Office. After emigrating to the United States in 1972, he worked at King&King Architects in Syracuse, New York, as a Chief Designer and was involved in numerous projects.
