Róisín Heneghan
Róisín Heneghan is an architect and co-founder of heneghan peng architects along with Shi-Fu Peng. The company was established in New York in 1999 but was shifted to Dublin in 2001. In 2014, she was shortlisted for Architects’ Journal’s Woman Architect of the Year. Heneghan received a Bachelor of Architecture (1987) from the University College of Dublin and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University.
Taking a multidisciplinary approach to design, the team collaborates extensively with renowned designers and engineers on various projects, spanning urban master plans, bridges, landscapes, and buildings. Current endeavours include the construction of the Storm King Art Center visitor and support buildings in New York and the temporary exhibition pavilions at Trinity College Dublin. Awards received by the practice include the Aga Khan Award for Architecture (2019) and the RIBA European Award for Áras Chill Dara 2006.
