The agricultural research centre consists of an administrative block, containing offices, research laboratories and storage, along with two accommodation units. A projected third block may be added at a later date. The mother-and-daughter design team have based proportions, details and plan type on precedents found in vernacular architecture, but interpreted them in a contemporary way. The reinforced concrete skeleton is covered with exposed RC slabs, while the aluminium frames of the roof system carry both transparent and opaque roof surfaces.
