This 25 building campus has been developed to provide world-class facilities, in seven faculties, for the training of professionals. Diverse facilities include teaching spaces, workshops, sports facilities, auditoria and courtyards. The concept was developed through the study of local cultural and art forms, and every element of the design from the masterplan itself to the smaller details of sunscreens, refer back to the nation’s traditions and heritage. Focus was also placed on the local climate, results of which include the creation of microclimates within courtyards, sunscreens to prevent direct heat load and subsequent reduction of energy costs required for cooling.
