Amin Alsaden is a curator, writer, and educator. He holds a doctoral degree from Harvard University, a master’s degree from Princeton University, and completed his undergraduate education at the American University of Sharjah.
Alsaden has taught at several institutions, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and regularly serves as an invited lecturer, critic, and jury member at art, curatorial, and design programs. Alsaden’s research explores the history and theory of modern and contemporary art and architecture globally, with specific expertise in the Arab and Muslim worlds. He has published and lectured widely. In 2018, he was the director of the Sharjah Architecture Triennale and, from 2019 to 2021, was the Nancy McCain and Bill Morneau Curatorial Fellow at The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery.
