Located next to the gate that also bears the saint's name, this is the oldest marabout in the old medina of Tetouan, once known as the city of Sidi Saidi. The earliest references to Sidi Saïdi date to the early 17th century, and some sources say the mosque was constructed in 1609, but an inscription on the current structure gives the date of 1721, during the reign of Pasha Ahmed Rifi. It is an active mosque and zawiyya.
