Ahmed Al-Mallak

Award winning Iraqi architect and academicAhmed Al-Mallak is the founding director of Tamayouz Excellence Award. He has taught design and urban planning at Coventry University in the UK since 2011. He received his BSc in architecture and urban planning  from the University of Jordan, and his Master’s degree from Coventry University.  In 2012 he established Tamayouz Excellence Award; an international awards programme championing the excellence in architecture.  Ahmed received Coventry university’s most coveted accolade the Cecil Angel Prize for his work through Tamayouz Excellence Award, and in 2018 he co-founded HERe: Habitat Environment and Reconciliation; an international design program during which international and local participants and experts collaborate to develop responses to the multiple challenges faced by cities.
