Aramgah-i Bu 'Ali Sina
Hamadan, Iran

In 1036 the physician, mathematician and philosopher Ibn Sina (Avicenna) died on a journey from Isfahan to Hamadan, where he had earlier been a vizier. The monument currently standing, incorporating a library and museum, was erected in the 1950's on the site of an earlier tomb structure. The tomb of Qajar poet Abolghassem Aref is located in the courtyard.
