A late 19th century mansion destroyed by fire was rebuilt and given a new use, as the home for a small museum of antiques and porcelain, an antiques market, a cafe and a diner. The only surviving element of the original building - the bright orange brick load-bearing structure - was left exposed and reinforced in places with concrete. Apart from this, the materials used in the rebuilding are recycled, from the salvaged timber floor structure and the reused windows, to the roof, with its secondhand Marseilles clay tiles from India.
