The restoration of the People's Palace involved:
- replacement of the old roughcast with a new layer;
- rehabilitation of the galleries and columns;
- drainage and solidification of the foundation;
- protection of the load-bearing walls against humidity; and
- installation of a fire-protection network and exterior lighting systems.
The building now contains a cafe, restaurant, artisans workshops, and shops.
